History

Primarily an entertainment venue, and originally called Watford Town Hall Assembly Rooms, Watford Colosseum was built in 1938 on the site of The Elms, an early 18th century mansion.

More recently, it is regularly used to host concerts by the BBC Concert Orchestra, including Friday Night is Music Night, and has housed performances by world-renowned musicians including The Who, Robbie Williams, and Oasis.
